I am a PhD student studying Classics and Ancient History at the University of Exeter. Previously, I earned a Master's degree in Philosophy and a Bachelor's degree in Bioenvironmental Systems Engineering, both from National Taiwan University (NTU). I graduated first in my class for my Master's degree. Additionally, I hold a Chinese Language Teaching Certificate from NTU.

Teaching Method: Semi-Immersive Teaching
I will first introduce the instructions for the lesson in English, such as "read the dialogue, please," to familiarize students with the commands. Once they are comfortable with the instructions, I will immerse them as much as possible in an all-Chinese teaching environment. If difficulties arise, I will use English as a supplement to enhance efficiency.
Supplementary Material: A Course in Contemporary Chinese.

Class Flow:
1. Begin by reading a designed dialogue together, for example: “你好嗎？我很好。” (How are you? I’m fine.)
2. Explain the meaning of each word or phrase in the dialogue, and ask the students to remember them as much as possible.
3. Read the dialogue again together, focusing on correct pronunciation.
4. Explain the meaning of each word again, and see how much the students can remember.
5. Provide additional examples for each word or phrase to strengthen their application skills.
