I'm Claire Zhao, a professional Mandarin teacher from Taiwan.
My Education: M.A. in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language
I have been a TCSOL Chinese teacher at the Taiwan Language Center since 2012. My students range from 15 years old to over 70s, beginners to advanced, and come from different professional fields, including business, finance, environmental protection and energy technology, including training project of governmental institutions, and American ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI). Teaching how to use conversation skills to communicate with foreigners.
In every class, through the design of teaching materials and situational arrangements, students are assisted in utilizing language to experience and deeply understand the characteristics of Chinese language and culture.

* Emphasis on communication skills training. Provide useful and appropriate lessons to individuals, and training institutions according to their needs.
* Encourage interactivity (Interaction)
* Emphasis on the practice of language forms (vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation).

我從2012年開始是台灣語言中心的TCSOL華語老師,開始上課前我會了解學生的的學習背景、學習目的,和學習目標。我的學生從15歲到70多歲，從初級到高級，也有來自不同專業領域,商業金融、環保能源科技，也包括政府機構的培訓計畫 和美國 ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI)。根據個人、學校、培訓機構的需求，提供他們有用且合適的課程。教授如何運用對話技巧與華人交流。在每一次上課的教材設計和情境安排中，幫助學生運用語言,體驗及深入了解華人文化的特色。
