Hi,nice to meet you.I am from Tangshan, a city in northern China. I am a native Chinese with a broad international perspective. I completed my undergraduate studies in China and obtained my master’s degree abroad, which has enriched my multicultural background. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Second Language Teaching at the University of Lisbon, dedicated to promoting cross-cultural communication and understanding.

I enjoy learning different languages and conversing with people from different countries, I also can speak English, Portuguese and a little French,and meanwhile I know how to learn a language better and faster. There are no shortcuts to learning a language, but good learning styles and methods can make our learning more efficient and enable us to make the most progress in a short period of time. For intermediate and advanced students, I will teach them Chinese in the target language, which is Chinese, and implement contextual teaching and immersion in Chinese, thus helping them to develop their thinking and awareness of the Chinese language. In addition to this, I will place more emphasis on the expression of meaningful functions and the development of communicative and socio-linguistic skills, while also ensuring knowledge of language structure and form. For beginners I place great emphasis on pinyin and the pronunciation of the four tones. If the tones are not accurate, one will immediately know that you are a foreign friend, so tone is a prerequisite for pronunciation. In addition to this, I also teach strokes and radicals to explain the origins of Chinese characters, which is also fun and easy to understand. This method of teaching has proved to be very popular with many of my students and they have also learnt a lot and have developed basic listening, speaking, reading and writing Chinese skills in a short period of time.

I love Chinese history and culture and I enjoy reading famous Chinese literature and poems and songs because I feel that Chinese culture is profound and has a long history. I have benefited a lot from books such as Dream of the Red Chamber and Tao Te Ching, which have taught me a lot about being a human being and doing things that have helped me a lot in my life path. At the same time I have practised calligraphy for many years and the enrichment and quietness it has brought to me has also made me gentle and serious in character.

So, in our classes I will accurately correct your pronunciation errors, perfect your pronunciation level, make you proficient in communicating in Chinese without barriers, and help you prepare fully for exams such as the HSK so that you can enter the exam room with confidence. Tangshan is a city that experienced a 7.5 magnitude earthquake in 1976. Despite the disaster, which claimed over 240,000 lives, the people of Tangshan rebuilt their city with remarkable resilience. Today, Tangshan is a vibrant place that blends traditional and modern elements.

In my Chinese classes, I often incorporate stories from Tangshan to convey themes of resilience and courage. I also introduce students to Tangshan's shadow puppetry and Chinese pingju opera, allowing them to experience the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture.

I hold an International Chinese Language Teacher Certificate and have accumulated five years of online teaching experience.
