I have been studying Chinese with Miss Hong for the past 20 lessons, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. Miss Hong is an exceptional teacher who truly tailors each class to fit my individual needs. She takes the time to understand my learning style and goals, adjusting her teaching methods to ensure I grasp each concept thoroughly. Chinese is a challenging language, but Miss Hong has a remarkable talent for making complex topics understandable. Whenever I have questions, she patiently explains them in a way that makes sense to me, which has been incredibly helpful in my learning. One of the things I appreciate most is her flexibility and understanding when real-life situations arise. If I am unable to attend a lesson for any reason, she is always accommodating and helps me reschedule without any hassle. This level of understanding has made my learning journey much smoother and less stressful. Overall, Miss Hong's dedication to her students, her personalized approach to teaching, and her ability to make difficult concepts clear have significantly boosted my confidence and progress in learning Chinese. Hong (Jessica) is a wonderful, effective teacher and I would highly recommend taking lessons with her! She is consistently well-prepared for class, always having lesson plans that seamlessly build upon the previous ones. She adjusts the lessons based on your learning speed and goals. She is also patient, encouraging, kind, and lively, which makes for a very enjoyable learning experience. I started with little knowledge of Chinese and I have been doing lessons with her twice per week for ~5 months. As a result of the lessons with her, I am able to understand much of what others say in Chinese and I am able to say things we've covered in class as well as generalize to form new sentences, including complex ones. Overall, I have learned a ton from Hong. My lessons with her have been excellent and I am delighted to recommend her as a teacher!

She even prepared a lesson in Mahjong because I wanted to learn. I was able to say some things about her in Chinese and I feel that says you can retain Chinese with her and be confident in using it. Her major in university was litterally to teach Chinese as a second language. So book her class
