Hi, I am Alison😀. I'm a TCSOL-certified Chinese teacher with 600+ hours of online teaching experience and I have working experience in a Confucius Classroom in a high school in the UK.

I'm a native Chinese speaker from Shanghai. I can speak fluent English and a little bit of German(A2 level). I studied in Germany📍 as an exchange student for half a year and later obtained a Master's degree in Global and International Citizenship Education in the UK📍. After returning to China, I have been working part-time helping foreigners come to China as Au Pairs. So, if you are interested in coming to China as an au pair, I can also help you well.I know what you are most interested in and what difficulties you may encounter, both in language and culture.

In the process of teaching Chinese to foreign friends, I have found that I have a great passion for teaching Chinese.I have a lot of my own understanding and thinking about teaching.I will also share "shortcuts" with you based on my own experience in learning English and German.I will tailor the classroom content for you according to your situation. In “your" class, we can:

🔹 Do conversation(We can talk about the topics you like or prepared by me. I will teach you new vocabularies and sentence structures and show you how to use them as a native speaker😉.Most importantly, you can practice a lot.)

🔹 Follow a course book (e.g.HSK, YCT).

🔹 Learn the basic knowledge of Mandarin(e.g. Pinyin) by my own materials.

🔹 Learn about interesting cultural content (e.g. the evolution of Chinese characters, Chinese dynasties, Chinese traditional festivals, places of interest).

I like travelling✈.I have travelled to 🌏20+ countries and many places in China. All the experience makes me know the diversity of culture and therefore I’m open-minded to various cultures and am interested in them. Moreover, I have a lot of topics to share with you😊.
